Hearthstone staff demonstrates a genuine interest to work with members of the Hearthstone Club by promoting their independence, wellness and delivering the highest standard of customer service in the industry. We are seeking a creative and energetic line cook for our food and beverage team who can deliver a high level of quality and exceptional dining experience for our members and their guests. The incumbent has the ability to work independently and as part of a team and can tolerate heat from the kitchen area, lift heavy objects (up to 23 kg/50 lbs) and walk short distances and stand throughout most of the shift. Flexibility in availability is essential (days, weekends) although preferences will be considered if the schedule warrants.

The ideal candidate has successfully earned a post secondary certificate with Cook 1 designation from a recognized culinary institute and must possess a valid Food Handling certificate. A minimum 1-2 years experience with the ability to achieve positive results in quantity food preparation, catering and line cooking in a variety of dining environments is essential.

The willingness to assist with menu planning, and like working under a Chef that not only insists on creativity but welcomes it is essential.

Coordinate efforts with the dining room staff to ensure service levels are achieved.

An interest in baking is welcomed.

Set up equipment and supplies for daily food production. Produce menu items, including preparation, cooking and presentation of food that is eye pleasing.

Cooking food that encompasses all types of international cuisines.

Work as part of a dynamic team with an emphasis on having fun creating together.

Comply and follow all sanitation regulations pertaining to food preparation and food storage.
