Meet Your Needs
Personal Support Workers
Hearthstone by the Bay has a dedicated, committed, caring team of Personal Support Workers that are available to residents to perform additional service tasks in their suites.
This team are hand selected with you in mind. They are regulated, experienced PSW’s who specialize in senior care. You get consistent staff who only work in this building so they already know the residents.
Examples of tasks they can do are;
- Daily or weekly showering
- Household chores
- Breakfast, lunch or dinner preparation
- Run errands
- Grocery Shopping
- Bed linen changes
- Washing and ironing clothes
- Exercises in your suite
- Go for walks along the Lakeshore trail
- Companionship
- Assist with dressing in the morning or when retiring for the evening and so much more.
From A-Z this team is top notch! They are here to serve your needs inclusive of meal preparation, laundry, linen changes, grocery shopping, personal hygiene requirements, companionship, light housekeeping duties, assistance with getting to and from events/dining room. From as little as 15 minutes a day to 24 hours a day we can be of assistance to customize a care plan with your needs in mind. PSW’s are contracted for providing services, and are available at a pre-determined time slot from 15 minutes to 24 hours a day. Receipts can be provided and may be used for income tax purposes or for submission to private insurance companies. Speak to your doctor, tax person or insurance representative to see if you qualify. PSW’s are not available for on call requirements. There will be no need to worry about whether a PSW will show up, as they are committed and reliable. Your well being is put first, and a close relationship will be formed as a result of having consistent care. They will become part of your extended family differentiating them from community care where you quite often don’t know who will be coming to your door.
